bitsensing’s TraXight Named as CES 2025 Innovation Awards Honoree
TraXight is a solution for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) that monitors, collects and manages all the elements of data relating to intersection traffic
Seoul, South Korea, 15 November 2024 - bitsensing, a leading provider of advanced radar solutions, today announces that it has been named a CES® 2025 Innovation Awards Honoree for its TraXight solution in the Smart Cities category.
A panel of industry expert judges reviewed and scored entries based on specific criteria to ensure a thorough evaluation. Each submission was assessed for engineering and functionality, examining how effectively it performed its intended purpose. The aesthetic and design of the product were also evaluated, focusing on visual appeal and usability. Additionally, reviewers considered what made the product unique and innovative, looking for elements that set it apart in the market.
Being designated an honoree means that bitsensing’s TraXight was the top-scoring product in its category and the announcement was made ahead of CES 2025, the world’s most influential technology event, taking place between 7-10 January in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“We’re incredibly proud that bitsensing has been selected for this award, which highlights the cutting-edge innovations we’re bringing to solve the challenges of Smart Cities,” said Dr. Jae-Eun Lee, CEO of bitsensing. “With TraXight, bitsensing aims to be the complete package solution for ITS that helps roads to become safer, cuts down on congestion to aid sustainability and also assists with building better, more informed traffic policies, to the benefit of all.”
TraXight is the new total package companion solution for ITS to bitsensing’s existing Traffic Insight Monitoring Sensor (TIMOS) hardware product. The benefits of TIMOS are already clear, and it works in any harsh weather conditions including heavy snow. TraXight was created to visualize all the rich data from TIMOS and it applies radar data analysis to provide real-time traffic monitoring, including capturing critical statistics relating to traffic, problem diagnosis, big data insights and AI simulation-based signal optimization consulting services for smart cities.
TraXight was also installed and activated over the summer at Porta Nuova, the historic gateway to the Italian city of Verona. The first-of-its-kind project is in partnership with the City Of Verona (Comune di Verona) and FAMAS SYSTEMS, now enables the city’s planners to make data-driven decisions and actions on how best to ease traffic congestion and also improve road safety in this busy area. It is also a part of the K-City Network Project by the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport. The K-City Network Project was launched in 2020 and is aimed at creating smarter cities worldwide, through partnerships with South Korean-based technology companies like bitsensing.
The new award caps off a year of significant milestones for the company, including securing a $25m Series B funding round in June 2024 and being selected for Forbes’ Asia 100 To Watch list. bitsensing previously received the CES 2022 Innovation Awards Honoree for its 4D Imaging Radar product in the Vehicle Intelligence & Transportation category and was also a CES 2020 Innovation Awards Honoree for its Traffic Monitoring Radar product in the Smart Cities category.
