This year’s CES Innovation Awards program received a record high number of over 1800 submissions. The announcement was made ahead of CES 2022, the world’s most influential technology event, happening Jan. 5-8 in Las Vegas, NV and digitally.

The scalable data from AI machine-learning allows for AIR 4D to precisely understand surroundings and classify target objects solely through radar perception using the integrated camera sensor. AIR 4D delivers reliable detection beyond 300+ meters and wide Field of View as well as high-resolution point clouds, longer detection range, greater accuracy, and more reliable object classification. bitsensing's patent-pending array pattern and wide-band antenna design techniques are applied to create optimal accuracy of radar images.

Sleek Design with Unmatched Performance

Despite the low number of transmitters and receivers (12TX & 16RX), the advanced chipset integration generates 192 virtual antenna channels to form high radar images from the revolutionary system design. bitsensing’s unique array patterning technique and radar signal processing algorithms enable AIR 4D to perform at an impressive angular resolution for azimuth and elevation, while also obtaining a range coverage of more than 300 meters as well as accurate object estimation and classification.

Intelligent Radar Perception

The electromagnetic point clouds from AIR 4D drives the detection and classification of more than 120 objects, fueling critical data to the AV under any road circumstances. AIR 4D can recognize 9 different types of entities, including pedestrians, passenger cars, buses, trucks, etc. That data can be fused with other data from various sensors for a more reliable and safe operation of the AV.  The additional integration of an AI processor supports the powerful functions of AIR 4D. The radar point cloud data and camera's vision data are processed to the AI processor to run AI real-time inference.
