A. Contrary to popular belief, imaging radar capabilities do not originate from the camera sensor. Rather, a radar is classified as an imaging radar because of the sharper and more accurate detection levels. bitsensing’s highly advanced 4D imaging radar focuses on detection, perception and a greater classification level by improving the strength of the radar sensing technology. Our fusion technology, which combines the imaging radar with our camera, works with our AI solution for the ultimate in imaging radar solutions.
Up until now, radar was limited to horizontal vision so they could not fully and accurately visualize surroundings. bitsensing develops radars that also has vertical vision in addition to horizontal which generates an accurate real-time 3D volumetric capture of the environment, including moving objects and people. Since the radar also reads 1D velocity information, it is ultimately 4D. Our radars can also produce point clouds as a result of our strategic business model approach of combining leading existing automotive chipsets with our innovative radar technology.
